Open to Interior Region

We have developed a patient education booklet for breast reconstruction surgery. It would be provided to patients and family members prior to the patient undergoing surgery.

The booklet provide information and guidance on three parts of the patient surgical experience. The three parts are pre-surgical patient expectations and preparation, intra-operative information, and post operative expectations and information. It will ensure all patients being treated within Interior Health receive the same information.

A patient partner will help to ensure we are capturing essential information that a patient would need to know, that the booklet is easy to read/navigate and provide feedback on additional information that would be helpful to include.

A copy of the booklet will be sent to the patient partner.
