The Joint Interior health and Specialist Services Committee (IH-SSC) Quality Improvement Steering Committee (SC) supports the development and delivery of a Quality Improvement (QI) program, led by physicians, that collaborates with operational leaders, Health Authority staff, patients and families to find innovative solutions that will result in excellence in patient care in Interior Health (IH).

In support of the Vision, Mission and Values, the SC will provide strategic oversight of PQI and the spread of successful PQI projects through the IH, driven by the strategic plan and physician leadership development linked activities supported by the SSC at IH.

The core responsibility of the SC is to govern the implementation of SSC initiatives, within the approved funding proposal in a transparent and collaborative manner.

The SC meets five times a year, from 5-7pm on Monday.

It’s really hard to make changes in health care. When a PVN patient partner says, ‘This is important to us’ it keeps us grounded on why a change is needed and keeps us motivated to keep going on projects.
