Our team at Providence Health Care is looking to engage a Patient Family Partner with lived experience of the BC health care system as a patient or family member (acute care experience is a plus), to advise our evaluation team over the next four months (Dec 2025 through March 2026).
The evaluation team will be assessing the impact of the newly implemented “Minimum Nurse Patient Ratios” (mNPR) program in Providence Health Care acute care programs. We are seeking a Patient Family Partner for consultation and involvement by attending meetings (by Zoom or Teams); offering advice and input on the evaluation plan, recruitment materials, recruitment strategy; and reviewing survey and questionnaire data. Estimated time commitment: 10 hours over the 4-month period.
Honorarium will be provided.
The mNPR initiative was developed and funded by the BC Ministry of Health as part of a larger nursing strategy developed to “support nurse well-being, facilitate quality patient outcomes, and increase capacity and efficiency of the health-care system in BC.”
More info on mNPR can be found here: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/health/practitioner-professional-resources/mnpr
