We are seeking 1-3 patient partners to engage in the Interior Health Heart Failure Advisory Committee. This is a quarterly meeting structured regionally across Interior Health bringing together the seven different heart function clinics to monitor, review and prioritize opportunities for improvement, develop recommendations where appropriate, track actions and measurement over time to support meaningful and sustainable change – sharing learnings locally as well as regionally where appropriate.
To align with Ministry of Health and IH strategic priorities, to support standardized approaches improving care for heart failure patients across the care continuum and between the various Heart Function Clinics.
The committee includes cardiologists, internal medicine physicians, clinical operation administrative staff, clinical specialist all across Interior Health who provide and manage heart failure operations.

- Willing & comfortable to share health care experiences in a group setting
- Specific health care experiences [details below]
- Have access to technology and the internet to participate in the engagement opportunity
- Comfortable using technology to attend online/virtual meetings
- An interest in improving health care services
- The time to participate in the engagement opportunity
- Requirement to have either personal or a close family member or friend with heart failure experience and utilization of healthcare resources specific to heart failure. All meetings are held via teams. Preference for patients in remote or rural locations across interior health.
