The IH Home Health team is looking to create a pool of volunteer partners to assist in various projects, reviews, document creation, and other initiatives as they come up over the next 1-2 years. Home Health is undergoing changes to its policies, documents, and systems to improve patient and family experience, increase efficiency, and ensure continued commitment to the highest standards of care. We have new and ongoing opportunities that are anticipated over the course of the next 1-2 years. We would like a group of patient – public partners to assist Home Health in this work.

Partners must have first- or second-hand experience with Home Health at IH, either with their own care or the care of a loved one, family member, or friend, that they are deeply involved with. This experience is necessary, providing a unique lens into how Home Health programs are currently working.
Project leaders will reach out to this group of interested volunteers as opportunities come up. Engagements are expected to be virtual, with occasional opportunity for hybrid work, if necessary.

Partners should have the time to engage in engagements and a passion for improving healthcare.

Experience with Home Health – either firsthand or secondhand – is preferred. If you, or a family member or friend, have experience with Home Health at Interior Health, we’d love to hear your input!

Eligibility

  • Willing & comfortable to share health care experiences in a group setting
  • Comfort with public speaking
  • Specific health care experiences [details below]
  • Have access to technology and the internet to participate in the engagement opportunity
  • Comfortable using technology to attend online/virtual meetings
  • An interest in improving health care services
  • The time to participate in the engagement opportunity
  • First- or second-hand experience with Home Health at Interior Health is a prerequisite.

Patient Partners ARE NOT required to be PVN members to participate in this engagement opportunity.
