Last updated

Northern Health Leaders in the Northeast invite you to share your experiences of being a PVN Patient Partner and to participate in an afternoon of World Café table top discussions. If you’re comfortable in talking about your patient partner role and bringing your patient voice to the discussions, this could be the opportunity for you!

Corporate Services, Northeast Health Services Delivery Area, Northern Health

Northern Health would like to integrate the patient voice during Leadership Forums in the Northeast and being able to present to the leadership team will provide a valuable opportunity for the patient experience to be shared. A patient partner is requested to provide a 15-minute presentation to the forum describing their role as a PVN Patient Partner and then to bring their perspective to an afternoon of World Café round table discussions. The topics for these discussions include: health care human resources, education, work life pulse and leadership.

Level of Engagement

This opportunity is at the level of consult on the spectrum of engagement. The promise to you is that the health care partner will listen to and acknowledge your ideas and concerns, and provide feedback on how your input affected the decision.

  • Comfortable sharing your experiences with a large group (up to 60 individuals)
  • Comfortable participating in small breakout groups
If you have a strong interest in this work but have not yet completed a PVN orientation and volunteer agreement, are unsure if your experience is a good fit or feel another format of engagement would work better with your availability, please contact the engagement leader directly.

Where those of us in the room may have debated policy or wording, patient voices made sure patients were top of mind. And as a result, significant improvements were made to simplify something that was otherwise complex. Patient voices at the table bring us back to reality in terms of what we are trying to achieve.
