Fraser Health is responsible for providing quality health care services to the people of Hope, Agassiz and surrounding communities. This includes long term care and assisted living, public health, home health, end of life care, mental health and substance use support, along with specialized programs for children, women and Aboriginal people.

Hope and Agassiz provides numerous health care services for a growing population that includes an acute care facility (Fraser Canyon Hospital) and home / community care services.
Hospital Quality and Operations Management Committee (HQOMC): This is a standing committee in which patient’s and family’s partner with local health service area leadership and physicians to meet and discuss quality and service delivery. The committee studies, investigates, and evaluates practice / care in the local area. In addition, the committee coordinates and monitors quality issues and oversees local quality committees (such as medication safety, infection prevention and control, occupational safety, emergency preparedness).

Meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 9:00 – 10:30 at Fraser Canyon Hospital (some people participate virtually).

• Advance person-centered approach to care
• Improve the patient experience
• Improve quality and patient safety
• Strengthen operations

• Managers from Fraser Canyon Hospital, Out Patient Services (Ambulatory Care), Community Care, Home Care, and Long Term Care
• Directors of Clinical Operations
• Physician with Quality Improvement
• Patient Care Quality Officer
• Medical Director
• Pharmacy Supervisor
• Executive Director

Patient Partners ARE NOT required to be PVN members to participate in this engagement opportunity.
