Assistance needed with the creation of a handout for patients who have experienced concussion. Created for use in the emergency department but may be used in an outpatient setting. Intention of handout is to provide a patient experiencing concussion with essential knowledge and resources for after care, because there is limited access to family doctors or follow up after accessing care in the emergency department.

Looking for patient partners who have experienced concussion and can assist with making the document as accessible as possible for a person experiencing concussion symptoms.

The question I like to ask health care employees is ‘Who is this for?’ and ‘Do we have the right people at the table?’ As a health care employee, I see how easy it is to fall into doing for, rather than doing with patients. The voices of the patient, family and caregiver are essential to ensure the patient is central to the direction and focus of the work being done.
