You are invited to “Families United: Celebrating Partnerships and Breaking Stigma in Mental Health and Substance Use Care”, a community gathering dedicated to fostering understanding and collaboration in mental health and substance use care.

This event is part of the UNITE Initiative, at BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services (BCMHSUS). UNITE is a broader initiative aimed at disrupting stigma and advancing person-centered care.

Event Details:
When: June 5th, 2024, 12:30-4:30pm
Where: Emily Carr University (520 East 1st Ave, Vancouver, BC)
What: The day will include the screening of a mini-documentary series featuring the stories of family members navigating the mental health and substance use system of care, panelist discussion featuring the storytellers, an introduction to the dialogue sessions and a closing reflection activity. Refreshments will be provided.

The voices of the patient, family and caregiver are essential to ensure the patient is central to the direction and focus of the work being done.
