To gain insights into clients’ experiences accessing gender-affirming products through the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) benefits program.

Participants will be asked a set of questions about their experience accessing gender-affirming products and awareness of FNHA benefits and available resources.

The consultation will take place virtually or in person at the University of British Columbia Pharmaceutical Sciences Building (2405 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z3). Parking reimbursement is available.

The consultation may take up to one hour and the participant will receive an honorarium in the form of a $50 gift card of choice.

 

Level of Engagement

This opportunity is at the level of Consult on the IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation.

Eligibility

  • Willing & comfortable to share health care experiences in a group setting
  • Specific health care experiences [details below]
  • An individual with FNHA benefits who has experience accessing or is interested in accessing gender-affirming products (e.g., bra inserts, brassiere, gaff, packers, stand to pee device, binders, vaginal dilator)
Patient Partners ARE NOT required to be PVN members to participate in this engagement opportunity.
