The Chetwynd Community Table will support the establishment and ongoing operation of the South Peace Primary Care Network at the local community level.

The primary goal of the Community Table is to collaboratively identify gaps in healthcare provision and seek solutions to address them.

We are seeking up to 2 local patient representatives to attend monthly meetings of the table to ensure that patient perspectives are taken into account in decision-making.

The first meeting of the table will be August 29 12pm-1pm at the Rec Centre. Recurring meeting dates/times will be decided together with all participants.

This opportunity is at the level of Collaborate on the IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation.

  • Previous committee/working group experience
  • An interest in improving health care services
  • The time to participate in the engagement opportunity

Patient Partners ARE NOT required to be PVN members to participate in this engagement opportunity.

PVN has really helped us engage with patient partners to improve health services at Northern Health.  It is more and more becoming the norm to include patients in the design, delivery and evaluation of health services.  PVN education and supports, involving patient partners, have enabled us to develop the capacity to include the patient voice to make care better and achieve better health outcomes.
