Canadian Standards Association (CSA) announced the launching of a project to develop a new Standard (Z2202) on Equipment and Technologies in the Home and Community Care Environment in September 2023 with an initial call for participation.

To undertake this work, we are seeking more experts from the user interest group to serve as volunteer members of the Technical Sub-Committee (TSC). The TSC members will work in collaboration to develop the content of the Standard through CSA’s accredited Standards Development Process(es) and to address alignment and harmonization as applicable with relevant international and North American standards (ISO & ANSI).

If you are interested in participating as a member of this TSC, please submit your Resume along with the completed Application Form and a statement outlining your interest and ability to contribute to this work to Taurai, Project Manager by August 9th (Friday), 4:00 pm EST at taurai.kurebwa@csagroup.org

If you know of someone in your network who may be interested in this project, feel free to distribute this document.

We will be reviewing all applications over the coming weeks to confirm the Committee membership. If you are interested in putting your name forward for the Chair or Vice Chair of this new TSC, please indicate so in your application and email.

Where those of us in the room may have debated policy or wording, patient voices made sure patients were top of mind. And as a result, significant improvements were made to simplify something that was otherwise complex. Patient voices at the table bring us back to reality in terms of what we are trying to achieve.
