Contribute your input by sharing your thoughts into planning for EHS facilities throughout the province.

The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and Emergency Health Services (EHS) are in the process of evaluating ambulance stations throughout the province and preparing recommendations for how to maintain and, if necessary, improve or create new stations in the future. The effort will include near and longer-term recommendations for the location, format, and sizing of buildings such as stations in every community.

The goal of the project is to ensure facilities are aligned with EHS service goals.

The question I like to ask health care employees is ‘Who is this for?’ and ‘Do we have the right people at the table?’ As a health care employee, I see how easy it is to fall into doing for, rather than doing with patients. The voices of the patient, family and caregiver are essential to ensure the patient is central to the direction and focus of the work being done.
