We have just launched the 2025 BC College of Family Physicians Awards Program which recognizes excellence in family medicine and highlights the irreplaceable role that family physicians play in the health and well-being of British Columbians.

There is the patient-nominated My Family Doctor Award where patients can recognize their own family doctor, as well as several peer-nominated awards which include:

BC Family Physician of the Year

First Five Years of Family Practice Award (one rural and one urban)

Resident Awards

Nominations are open now until March 14th at 10am.

Where those of us in the room may have debated policy or wording, patient voices made sure patients were top of mind. And as a result, significant improvements were made to simplify something that was otherwise complex. Patient voices at the table bring us back to reality in terms of what we are trying to achieve.
