Open to Patient Partners in Vancouver Coastal Health communities

Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Programs have been shown to improve surgical outcomes and overall patient experience. The Quality and Patient Safety team is looking to create an ERAS Poster that is patient centered, and empowers patients while highlighting the key research based components that will aid in their recovery from surgery. Research shows that the activities included in the poster can support improved recovery from surgery. They will be trialing the posters in patient rooms on one unit at Vancouver General Hospital.

Your Involvement: Prior to using the posters, the project team would like to get some feedback from CEANs on the poster. There are no criteria for this opportunity, it is open to everyone.

Please click here to review the poster and answer some questions to help guide feedback by end of day Tuesday September 24th, 2019.

Please contact ce@vch.ca if you have any questions. Thank you!

PVN has really helped us engage with patient partners to improve health services at Northern Health.  It is more and more becoming the norm to include patients in the design, delivery and evaluation of health services.  PVN education and supports, involving patient partners, have enabled us to develop the capacity to include the patient voice to make care better and achieve better health outcomes.
