Pain BC is in the process of launching new in-person Pain Support and Wellness Groups, which will offer an opportunity for people living with persistent pain to meet on regular basis to learn about self-management of pain, receive support and provide support by sharing knowledge, experiences, coping strategies, and offering understanding. They’re looking for volunteer facilitators to help run these groups in Salmon Arms, Smithers, Terrace and Trail.

More information about the opportunity and how to participate can be found here: https://painbc.ca/get-involved/volunteer-pain-support-and-wellness-group-facilitator

Where those of us in the room may have debated policy or wording, patient voices made sure patients were top of mind. And as a result, significant improvements were made to simplify something that was otherwise complex. Patient voices at the table bring us back to reality in terms of what we are trying to achieve.
