The Canadian Institutes of Health Research’s Institute of Health Services and Policy Research is developing its next five-year strategic plan and invites you to engage on future directions and priorities for health services and policy research in Canada.

A key component of our stakeholder engagement is to include opportunities for patients and the public to tell us their opinions about the current needs, gaps, and opportunities for health services and policy research. This will help us to determine strategic directions and research priorities that will support the health services and policy research community to tackle the most serious challenges facing our health care system.

We would like to invite you to join us for a two-part engagement opportunity:

Part 1 – One-hour information session where you can learn more about CIHR-IHSPR:
• March 3, from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm PST
• Co-led by Dr. Rick Glazier, Scientific Director of CIHR-IHSPR and patient partner, Lisa Ridgway
• In-person attendance: register here (please note there is 15-person maximum and the meeting will be held in the Harbour Room, Suite 420, 1367 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC)
• Remote attendance: register here
• Deadline to register is February 28, 2020
• Webinar will be recorded and posted on the BC SUPPORT Unit website.

Part 2 – a virtual roundtable to capture individual perspectives on future strategic directions and research priorities for the Institute of Health Services and Policy Research

• Co-led by Dr. Rick Glazier, Scientific Director of CIHR-IHSPR and patient partner, Lisa Ridgway

Recently, a PVN Patient Advisor asked healthcare partners, “What are we learning from patients, families, and others thus far during this pandemic?”. This is an excellent question and one to ask ourselves daily.
