Let’s take steps towards good health: get moving with BC’s doctors!

Why do doctors want to walk with patients? Because it’s the best prescription for health they can give!

TO REGISTER- go to Walkwithyourdoc.ca and click on Terrace on the map!

We are super excited to announce Terrace’s FIRST annual “Walk with your Doc” event and would love to have your full support and participation!

The event is going to be held on Saturday, May 6/17 from 1-3 pm at the Millennium Trail (Grand Trunk Pathway). Participants are invited to go for a walk, be it short or long, with their family doctor (even if you don’t have one yet).

We will be doing a great deal of public promotion for the event over the next month to encourage local participants and business groups to sign up.

We invite you to seize this opportunity to get involved and promote healthy living in Terrace by volunteering or bringing your family out to support our docs! Show off your group or business with matching t-shirts or other garb. Bring your dog!  Have some fun! If you would like to donate or sponsor please contact one of the organizers below.

Media will be present to conduct interviews with folks who would like to share their personal experience of how they benefit from walking regularly.

There will be many photo opportunities and you may share these by using the following hashtags on Twitter, FB and Instagram:  #walkwithyourdoc #terracebc
