This “back-to-school”-themed session will be presented by IHI Open School: UBC chapter president Nicole Lee, along with Leah Trippell of the IHI Open School: UBC Okanagan (UBCO) chapter, and Neelam Minhas of the newly-formed IHI Open School: University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) chapter. They’ll share how post-secondary students can develop and practice their quality improvement skills while in school, and highlight resources and opportunities for hands-on experience.
Through these students’ own experience with the IHI Open School, this presentation will cover how students can realize their full potential as change agents and quality improvement leaders. This presentation will also be valuable to those who work with or supervise students, particularly in the realms of health care and quality improvement.
The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Open School: University of British Columbia (UBC) Chapter is an interdisciplinary community of students and professionals striving for a more efficient, effective and safe health care system that provides the best possible care for all patients.
