July 19, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Whether you’re looking for information or have a question about the new North Island Hospital, Island Health welcomes all residents to attend a drop-in community information session taking place on July 19 in Campbell River.

The drop-in sessions are an opportunity to learn more about the North Island Hospital Comox Valley and Campbell River campuses and their design, as well as information on planning for move-in, staff transition, hospital operations, volunteer resources, Aboriginal Health and the role of patient advisors.

Our Engagement Leader Ryan Sidorchuk will be there to help you learn more about the new hospital and how to participate as a patient partner.

The question I like to ask health care employees is ‘Who is this for?’ and ‘Do we have the right people at the table?’ As a health care employee, I see how easy it is to fall into doing for, rather than doing with patients. The voices of the patient, family and caregiver are essential to ensure the patient is central to the direction and focus of the work being done.
