Grief and the Many Losses of Caregiving

  • This event has passed.

January 18, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Grief is often one of the most complex dilemmas in life. Many struggle with the loss of a loved one and the loss of a long-held purpose.

In this webinar, participants will explore topics including grieving an expected loss, grieving the loss of the caregiver role, managing situations that trigger grief, understanding how grief can vary among family members, dealing with clumsy advice and finding a way forward. Participants will be introduced to two free online resources developed by the Canadian Virtual Hospice that can be accessed 24/7 from the comfort of one’s own home. MyGrief.ca is an online resource for grieving adults. KidsGrief.ca is for parents and caregivers who are supporting grieving children and teens.

A question and answer portion will follow. Join this webinar on Thursday, January 18 at 6:30 p.m. PT with Montreal-based psychologist Dr. Chris MacKinnon of McGill University.

This webinar is free, but registration is required. Click here to register!
