  • This event has passed.

July 19, 2017 @ 5:45 pm - 8:00 pm

Health research depends on all kinds of people. You can be healthy, sick, young or old and can help by volunteering to participate in research in a variety of ways.

Let’s talk! You’re invited to a Community Dialogue on the development of a new program in British Columbia that will help connect people like you to research opportunities.

Come and share your ideas and tell us:

  • why is health research important to you?
  • how can we keep you informed of research opportunities?

Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!

Refreshments will be provided.

There will be interpreters for Punjabi, Cantonese and Mandarin speakers in attendance.

The BC Health Research Connection Project is led by the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute in collaboration with health authorities, research institutes and universities across BC. The BC SUPPORT Unit Fraser regional centre led by Fraser Health and Simon Fraser University, is helping to coordinate this public event.

The bottom line is because we’re caring for patients. People who know best are those who are receiving the care so it makes logical sense that we would consult with them about their experiences. By connecting with PVN we have been able to educate our teams about the value of patient partners and how important their perspective is in our services.
