Community Dialogue on Health Research

  • This event has passed.

August 30, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Health research depends on all kinds of people. No matter what your age, whether you are healthy or sick, you can help by volunteering to participate in research in a variety of ways.

Let’s talk! You’re invited to a community dialogue in Victoria on the development of a new program in British Columbia that will help connect people like you to research opportunities.

Come and share your ideas and tell us:

  • Why is health research important to you?
  • How can we keep you informed of research opportunities?

Who should attend this event?

This event is open to the general public, and we are interested in hearing specifically from older adults and seniors in the community about their needs. Those who may be most interested in this project are people with a personal experience of a health issue, their family members and caregivers, and those who have always been interested in getting involved in health research!

What should I expect at this event?

The event will consist of time for you to view display boards informing you about health research and ways you can get involved. We will also tell you about a new provincial program being developed that will help connect people like you to research opportunities. You will then be asked to join a discussion group table where you can provide your input on key topics with the help of a facilitator.
