Manager, Patient Voices Network
Patient & Public Engagement
Chelsea joined the Council in February 2012. In her current role as Manager on the Patient & Public Engagement team, she is dedicated to advancing the patient voice through supporting PVN and enabling a more person- and family-centred health care system.
Chelsea enjoys diving into complex issues, loves to connect with new people and is passionate about bringing in diverse thinking and learning in her work. In her past role as Leader with the Analytics & Strategic Initiatives team, she is grateful to have had the opportunity to lead a number of projects that impact the health and wellness of British Columbians. This included the updates to the BC Health Quality Matrix which establishes a more inclusive and strengthened definition of health care quality. Previous to this she led the Council’s annual Quality Forum and supported learning programs such as the Quality Academy.
Chelsea is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Community Development and a Graduate Certificate in Evaluation both through the University of Victoria. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in International Development Studies and Philosophy, with a focus on economics and ethics. She is a Fellow with the International Society of Quality in Health Care, in addition to completing courses in human factors in health care, leadership, project management, strategic communication and event management.
Outside of work you’ll most likely find her at a local dance or theatre production, attempting to sing along to her favourite musical songs, travelling or spending time with her beloved family and friends.
