Are you nervous about attending a meeting online? Have you avoided using WebEx as a meeting tool? Come and participate in this patient partner focused opportunity to learn how to use WebEx and give feedback about the process.

Aim

The aim of this engagement is to assist patient partners in using WebEx as an online meeting platform. Participants will be asked for feedback about the ease of the process and for suggestions for improvement.

Level of Engagement

This opportunity is at the level of consult on the spectrum of engagement (www.iap2.org). The promise to you is that the health care partner will listen to and acknowledge your ideas and concerns, and provide feedback on how your input affected the decision.

Eligibility

  • Patients should have previously attended a PVN orientation session. If you have not attended an orientation but are interested please contact the Engagement Leader of their geographical area directly to see if accommodations may be possible.

Logistics

  • Vacancies: unlimited
  • Wednesday, August 30th
  • Location: noon – 1pm online at https://bcpsqc.webex.com (registration required)
  • Commitment: One time

Reimbursement

Patient partners will not incur any out-of-pocket expenses by participating in this opportunity.

Background

Patient Partner skill building is important to the Patient & Public Engagement Team. This webinar is the first in a variety of training opportunities that will be offered. Participants will be able to participate and provide feedback about the process.WebEx is a common online meeting tool used by the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council. By providing training we are hoping that more patient partners will gain experience in using this platform, which may also lead to their participation in BC Patient Safety & Quality Council events, including Quality Café.
