The practical nursing program at Okanagan College is looking for a patient partner to attend a one-hour in-person session in Penticton to share their story living with a chronic disease. Looking for someone with a positive outlook who can talk about how they maintain their wellness, strategies, who they collaborate with and what community resources they use.

This opportunity is at the level of consult on the spectrum of engagement. The promise to you is that the health care partner will listen to and acknowledge your ideas and concerns, and provide feedback on how your input affected the decision.Eligibility
- Over 65 years old
- Living with one or more chronic diseases (examples include - COPD, heart disease)
- Positive outlook
- Comfortable speaking to the practical nurse class which has eight students and supports the gerontology course curriculum
