The BC chapter of Infection Prevention and Control Canada is holding their annual conference in Kelowna and would like a patient partner to speak about their own or a family member’s experience with infection.

The aim of this opportunity is to include the patient voice to help create a positive, healthy and healing environment for patients and for participants to hear a first-hand story of the experience of having an infection to allow them to be reminded of the stress this puts on the patient.Level of Engagement
This opportunity is at the level of involve on the spectrum of engagement. The promise to you is that the health care partner will involve patients in planning and design phases to ensure ideas or concerns are considered and reflected in alternatives and recommendations.Eligibility
Experience with an infection either personally or as a family member.Logistics
Number of vacancies: 2 Location, Date, Time and Frequency: Friday, September 28th for approximately one hour. Time TBD. In-person in KelownaReimbursement
Expenses need to be discussed with the health care partner, it is unclear at this time if there will be any costs associated with this opportunity.Background
IPAC BC Education Day occurs every year, but this is the first time in many years that they have brought it to Kelowna. Interior Health's Infection Control Department will be the most involved with conference participants from all over BC. 70-80 participants are expected, including Interior Health staff from all departments.Health Care Partner Contact Information
