Aim

To enhance the MEDITECH thus improving patient care through capturing, delivering and accessing health information, using the same system across Fraser Health

Patient partners will provide valuable feedback to ensure that MEDITECH advancements are reflective of the care needs of patients

This opportunity is at the level of collaborate on the spectrum of engagement. The promise to you is that the health care partner will work together with you to formulate solutions and incorporate your advice and recommendations into the decisions to the maximum extent possible.

Eligibility

This engagement is ideal for patient partners who:

• Have interest and knowledge in health care technology and information sharing and innovative technological solutions
• Can participate in complex health care environment (systems level perspective)

Logistics

MEDITECH Expanse Clinical Advisory Group – 2 advisors - Two patient advisors to participate in regular meetings. Regular bi-weekly one hour meetings via teleconference or in-person Commitment One year, with the opportunity to renew for two years

Reimbursement

Preapproved expenses related to travel to in person meetings will be reimbursed according to the Fraser Health Travel policy (including mileage, parking, tolls and/or public transit).

Background

The MEDITECH Clinical Advisory Group goal is to ensure decisions benefit patients and providers and take costs into consideration. The group is applying a regional, collaborative, and innovative approach. The advisory group is responsible to • Ensure the design and content of MEDITECH is valid • Meet all applicable standards • Organize communication and education, and • Assess readiness and risk Membership includes representatives of all disciplines, networks, Fraser Health programs and applicable regional support programs/departments. Regular bi-weekly one hour meetings via teleconference or in-person
