Open to Interior Region, Patient partners from Penticton Regional Hospital Cardiology Department

Last updated

The Cardiology department moved into its new space in May 2019 and needs feedback from patients on how the new area is functioning and if we are meeting their needs. We invested much of our time thinking about physical layout and would now like to check in with our patients to hear how the space works for them, and if we are meeting our goals for person-centred care.

Where those of us in the room may have debated policy or wording, patient voices made sure patients were top of mind. And as a result, significant improvements were made to simplify something that was otherwise complex. Patient voices at the table bring us back to reality in terms of what we are trying to achieve.
