In alignment with the Northern Cancer Strategy, the provincial Fast Track Program and Surgical Oncology Network, the Northern Health Breast Cancer Steering Committee, which was formed in June 2019, is responsible for leading the planning, development and implementation of breast cancer care from presentation with worrisome findings or screening mammography to treatment. We are working towards decreasing wait times, improving patient and professional education as well as improving the patient experience. Attached you will find the Steering Committee Terms of Reference and within it is a list of Working Groups. Several of these working groups we look forward to having a patient partner participate on.

I am grateful for all opportunities I have been a part of thanks to PVN, which positively impacts patients like my sister and their caregivers. No matter how small, all patient engagement will help shape the future of health care and that I can stand behind
