Have you had experience with Adult Day Services or Respite Care?  If so, we need your help.

We are looking for input on experiences with Adult Day Services or Respite Care, what went well and how we can improve this service.

Aim

The goal is to improve access and service options for clients and caregivers of Adult Day Services and Respite Care. Patients and families are essential, as their feedback and suggestions will be used to shape future services.

Level of Engagement

This opportunity is at the level of collaborate on the spectrum of engagement. The promise to you is that the health care partner will work together with you to formulate solutions and incorporate your advice and recommendations into the decisions to the maximum extent possible.

Eligibility

Patient partners must be comfortable with sharing their story and providing feedback that would be helpful to make improvements to the system.

Logistics

Number of vacancies: 4 -8 (1-2 patient partners from each geographic region across the Interior Health region) Location, Date, Time and Frequency: The project will start after January 21, 2019 with telephone interviews and focus groups will occur in March or April. Commitment: The project is expected to close in June or approximately 8-12 weeks. There will be a follow-up once the recommendations and report are endorsed for implementation.

Reimbursement

There are no expenses anticipated with this event.

Background

The project will elicit information from patient partners who have had experience with Adult Day Services and Respite. This information will be used in collaboration with current state data that is being collected in order to provide recommendations for redesigning how Adult Day Services and Respite are currently being delivered in Interior Health.
