Background

With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic many health appointments are being conducted virtually using a number of technology platforms, including Zoom and InTouch Solo. Patients and clients have different digital literacy and needs in using virtual health; they require a range of support in using the technology to join a virtual health appointment. Currently, a temporary Citizen Support Desk is available for technical support to some, but not all patients across the province. The health authorities/organizations are working together to plan a support service for all patients across the province and the goal is to have the virtual health Citizen Support Desk up and running by May 31,  2021.
