Background

Specialist and family doctors on the working group are very dedicated and patient-focused, as are the doctors who apply for Facility Engagement funds. However, we recognize that involving patients and families as a working group member provides a unique and vital perspective, one that can help us understand and address patient care issues more clearly and effectively. The Facility Engagement initiative focuses on the Acute Care setting. Terms of Reference for the Royal Columbian-Eagle Ridge Facility Engagement Working Group are being revised, but information on the overall FE Initiative can be found at www.facilityengagement.ca
