The patient partner will sit on the committee with other representatives from Terrace and assist the committee in where and when to get public input on the future hospital.Level of Engagement
This opportunity is at the level of collaborate on the spectrum of engagement. The promise to you is that the research partner will work together with you to formulate solutions and incorporate your advice and recommendations into the decisions to the maximum extent possible.Eligibility
- Experience working in large groups
- Experience in community engagement initiatives
Logistics
Number of vacancies: 2 total - 1 with an alternate Location, Date, Time and Frequency: 8 meetings a year, meetings take place on Monday's in the later afternoon (approx 4:00pm) Initiative Format: Working group/ Committees Connection Method:- In-Person

The committee has the opportunity to provide input and recommendations to Northern Health for the Mills Memorial Hospital Redevelopment on items such as:- Local considerations related to the Project
- Patient experience and cultural considerations related to the design and health services contemplated within the project scope
- Project community consultations and communications
- Latitude to set up working groups for topical issues for broader input as required, such as:
- First Nations advice
- Culturally appropriate design input
- Other as deemed appropriate by the Advisory Committee
- Regular updates on project status and progress Including scope, schedule, budget;
- Briefing on key project issues and milestones;
- Briefing on key human resource planning issues and milestones for the project; and
- Information and communications materials for use in the community to ensure that residents and stakeholders are kept up to date on developments
- The Committee will provide advice on local issues and concerns that may affect the Project
