Aim

Our goal is to increase clarity and accessibility of the Patient Care Quality Program by redesigning existing brochures and posters. Having a patient partner share their perspective as part of the redesign will help to ensure a patient lens is included. The patient partner will be a member of the committee, along with representatives from each of the Health Authorities, giving their opinion and perspective on how we can better communicate and ultimately increase patients’ or their representatives’ feedback of how they were treated when they needed to access the health care system.

Level of Engagement

This opportunity is at the level of collaborate on the spectrum of engagement. The promise to you is that the health care partner will work together with you to formulate solutions and incorporate your advice and recommendations into the decisions to the maximum extent possible.

Seeking the patient perspective doesn’t have to be complicated; it simply entails a commitment to ask and listen. Patient advisors not only bring a valuable perspective but also share original ideas and unique skills. Including the patient and family perspective changes the conversation and aligns the team’s focus towards common goals.
