This month marks the end of Pamela Jessen’s term as co-chair of the PVN Oversight & Advisory Committee. Pamela, who has been involved with PVN since 2013, is a tremendous and compassionate voice for advancing patient engagement in BC. Her vision and dedication have been instrumental in building the network as a platform for partnerships to flourish.
“After four years, I have completed my term on the PVN Oversight and Advisory Committee, including acting as co-chair for the last year. I leave with the satisfaction of knowing we have the most diverse group of committee members who are making tough decisions that help improve health care for all.
“I’m so proud of all of them and their commitment to excellence and I know the committee will do well in the coming years! I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve and look forward to new challenges in 2022.”
-Pamela Jessen, Patient Partner
We invite you to join us in thanking Pamela for all the energy, compassion and experience that she has generously shared.
Announcing Our New Co-Chair and Vice-Chair
A warm welcome to Vikram Bubber as he moves from vice-chair to co-chair of the Oversight & Advisory Committee!
“I hope to help amplify the patient voice” said Vikram, who has been a patient advocate for over 30 years and the committee’s vice-chair for the past year. “I feel we need to step into each other’s shoes and look through the eyes of the patient to understand how it really feels for us,” he went on to say. “Actively listen to our stories.”
With that, we’re also excited to share that Maria Klementwill be moving into the role of vice-chair. Maria has hit the ground running since joining PVN in 2020, participating in several engagements within her region and across the province.
In her own words, “Life is full of opportunities and each opportunity leads to experiences and learnings. I am looking forward to the vice-chair opportunity to learn new things, have new experiences, meet new people, continue the work of previous members and use some of the skills that I have developed over the years.”
Thank you both for stepping into these roles and to all the patient and health care partners who participate on the committee.
